  • Paul Andre Huet

    Executive Chairman

    • Mr. Huet is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Huet served as the Executive Chairman from February 25, 2019 until July 18, 2019, when he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
    • Previously, Mr. Huet was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Klondex Mines from 2012 - 2018, until its acquisition by Hecla Mining Company. He currently serves as a Director of 1911 Gold.
    •  Mr. Huet has a strong command of capital markets and has served in all levels of engineering and operations of Mining. Mr. Huet graduated with Honors from the Mining Engineering Technology program at Haileybury School of Mines in Ontario, and successfully completed the Stanford Executive program at the Stanford School of business. In 2013 Mr. Huet was nominated for the Premiers Award in Ontario for outstanding College graduates; he is currently a member of OACETT as an applied Science Technologist and an Accredited Director.

    • Former Executive Vice President, Marketing, at Inco from January 1997 to January 2007, based in Toronto
    • Held positions in accounting, audit and finance with Inco in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong, since joining the company in 1970

    • Over 30 years of experience in mining, renewables and energy sectors
    • Former Managing Director of Verve from 2007 to 2012 and prior to that served over 10 years in senior roles including Alcoa of Australia Limited and WMC Resources Ltd.
    • Currently a Director of Alumina Limited, NBN Co Limited and APA Group and former Deputy Chair of the Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and former Director of Northern Star Resources Limited
  • Chad Williams


    • Extensive experience in mining finance and management
    • Chairman and Founder of Red Cloud Securities and Blue Thunder Mining Inc., former CEO of Victoria Gold, Head of Mining Investment Banking at Blackmont Capital Inc. and a top-ranked mining analyst at TD Bank and other Canadian brokerage firms
    • Director of several emerging mining companies and was a founder of Agilith Capital Inc. as well as Westwind Capital Inc.
  • Meri Verli


    • Experienced senior financial executive with an extensive background in financial management and reporting, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and strategy development.
    • Served as Senior Vice President, Business Operation Management Systems and prior to that as Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasury at Kirkland Lake Gold; previously served as CFO of McEwen Mining and Vice President, Finance at Lake Shore Gold.
    • Meri is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a PhD in Economic Sciences, a Bachelor of Geology and Engineering and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Tirana, Albania.
  • Tony Makuch


    • +35 years mining industry experience, including five years as CEO of Kirkland Lake Gold where he led a transformation of the company, increasing gold production from 315,000 ounces to 1.4 million ounces and market capitalization from $1 billion to over $13 billion during his tenure.
    • Former President and CEO of Lake Shore Gold from 2008 until its acquisition by Tahoe Resources in 2016. Mr. Makuch was SVP and COO of FNX Mining from 2006 to 2008. From 1998 to 2005 he held a number of progressively senior positions with Dynatec Corporation including VP operations and prior to that was worked for Kinross Gold at a number of their Canadian operations.
    • Tony is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours Applied Earth Sciences) from the University of Waterloo and Master of Science (Engineering) and MBA degrees from Queens University. He also holds a Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Business.
